The day started off with lil man sleeping in until 8 AM. Unlucky for dad he wasn't home to sleep-in because he had duty yesterday (meaning he had to be at work for 24 hours and had to be up and going by 5:45 AM). Honestly, I didn't even get to sleep in because I woke up at 6 AM and thought I should get ready knowing we had to leave the house somewhat early for lunch and the game AND thinking he was going to wake at his normal time which is 6:30 AM... boy, I sure wish Anthony would have given me a heads-up that he was going to sleep in so I could have slept in as well! He slept for 13 hours... can anyone say growth spurt?!
After we ate breakfast, Ant' man spotted his bike (tricycle and scooter) helmet we purchased yesterday. He immediately needed the helmet put on his head! So, like a good mommy, I listened. He wore it for about 30 minutes. Check-it out...
We went to a Padres game, which started at 1:05 PM. Before the game, we ate some lunch at Dick's Last Resort for lunch and had a blast. Then we headed over to the park. Since Anthony didn't wake until 8 AM, he was not ready for a nap, so he played in the "beach" area of the ball park shoveling sand and playing catch with another kid. Around 1:30 PM he was begging to get in his stroller to take a nap, which is were he stayed sleeping until the game ended and we walked back to the car to go home around 3:30 PM. He normally takes one 2 hour nap during the middle of the day so this was not so unusual.
Here is my lil man and his daddy getting settled in the "beach" area of the ball park (oh, and in case you are wondering that is a Yankees jersey Francis wore to a Padres game, LOL)...
While at the park, a few people got busted smoking marijuana. There was a girl, who didn't look older than 18 years old if that, a male who looked to be in his late 40's, and another male who looked to be in his late 20's. Yep, they sure were smokin' the mary-jane right around the corner from us! LOL, poor people, they should have gone back to their car to do that... duh, I mean, it's not like they were at a concert or anything... They were, after all, at a baseball game in the middle of the day filled with families and small children!
On the way home we stopped at the grocery store to pick up our produce for the week. Then headed over to Filippi's to pick up our dinner. Then home, sweet home to watch three more times "bobots!"
